An Alaskan Mechanical Engineering Firm

Cold Climate Engineering, LLC (CCE) is an Alaskan Mechanical Engineering firm that strives every day to improve the lives of Arctic Communities. Our core business is providing solutions for cold climate and remote region facilities and infrastructure with an emphasis on projects that make a positive impact on our communities.

With over 25 years of experience designing mechanical systems throughout Alaska and the Antarctic, our project experience covers a wide array of facility types and sizes including educational, healthcare, industrial, institutional, utilities, commercial, and residential projects.

Our designs are centered on minimizing long-term operational costs through a common-sense application of energy efficient design, with a hyper-focus on maintenance and constructability. We are known for providing designs that are innovative, yet simple and reliable.

We work closely with Owners and Facility Managers to design systems that match your needs, maintenance abilities, budget, and project goals. You are unique and every one of your projects is also unique.

Philosophy

Learn More

We listen. The foundation of CCE’s design philosophy is based on proactive communication and that starts with active listening.

Every project is unique. Every project has its own unique definition of success comprised of a prioritization of first costs, building/systems performance, reliability, long-term operational costs (which includes energy efficiency), and sustainability. We proactively communicate with our clients to review and prioritize each of these categories and then collaboratively develop a solution specific to their need for that specific project. The designs are always based on the needs of the client, not the design team.
